People actually hoarded the full shit quality of The General for 10+ years while allowing the fans a tiny snippet that had to be cleaned up by people like Evader and Shacklermyrye to make it listenable.
They can stick the full recording up their ass at this point...along with a cell phone.

Exactly. The hoarders held on to shit when they could have compromised and had our resident audio wizards make the recordings listenable and enjoyable. While at the same time making lots of people happy.

Not to defend hoarding/hoarders.. BUT....
I don't think it was the regular hoarders holding onto that. More like the wannabe hoarders getting to finally join the club. Beyond ridiculous.
This fan base overall is its own worst enemy.
They probably did have someone clean it up for themselves.
There's no reason to even bother letting it surface now. The song is literally around the corner. They waited til literally the last second to mention it.
I understand the concept of hoarding regular tracks even though I don't necessarily agree with it...but hoarding something like a cell phone recording is unprecedented levels of retardation. It's a new low in the world of hoarding.
They should be ashamed.

The hoarders should do a public service and leak all their stuff to force a release from the band.
It forces Slash and Duff re-recording culminating in more songs than we'd get otherwise, hardcores get the real versions with Buckethead and Robin, and Axl finally has to get of his tuchus and maybe make new music.
