I think it's way too early to call this a hit. I can't see it getting anywhere near the radio play CD did in 2008 or Shadow did in 2018 (both #5 on the mainstream rock charts). Both Absurd and Hard Skool did well on the Itunes chart when they were released, if Perhaps is doing better it's probably because it's being promoted a hell of a lot more. From what I've seen Hard Skool had the better reception from casuals. This track is less accessible and will not resonate with everybody. People expressing dislike are not necessarily trolls.
I never said everyone who hates it is a troll. Hell...there's people here who don't like it.
Social media...and more specifically YouTube...are drowning in people who like to sit around all day making comments about how everything sucks. GNR is trending...these types along with the usual haters will be all over that video like flies on shit.
That sounds wild! The final version is better but wow, what a revelation. And Rick’s keyboards sound terrific

I’m glad it’s doing well I guess. But the song is still a mess. I listened to it like 5-6 times on repeat driving to get lunch on Friday. And the more I listened to it, the more angry I got about how half assed the song is. One verse and one chorus just repeated, a boring uninspired Slash solo (with bits of Finck’s original parts kept in underneath), and a terrible mix. It’s just fucken amateur hour really.
If they were gonna give a big push and effort to a decent Chinese leftover, they should’ve done it with Hardskool.

Sone wacky club mix of Sorry in a timeline with that remix album a reality does not make her the voice of GNR.

She isn't properly utilized in the band...as Claude pointed out, she could easily help him out with vocals.
This doesn't mean anyone is hoping she hijacks the band from Axl.

I doubt she can pull out raspy vocals any more than Axl can these days.
I don’t want to hear her trading lines with him. I’d rather Axl is out breath and Mickey than going down that route

Because she's a singer...and she's in the band.
I'd also like to see her be allowed to write something for them but we all know they're unlikely to work on anything from scratch.
You must really hate bands with multiple singers.
