Re: UYI Box tracklist unveiled?
I liked it. The additional orchestrations seemed pretty subtle to me, but yeah, you notice them right away. This is a completely different mix, imo. The vocals are def mixed differently, and the piano outro is much more prominent.
It's a small taste of the remix albums we were supposed to get but they of course vetoed them at the last second.
It's underwhelming. I may stop being pissed at not getting those remixes if this is where it was going.
I bet they still had all the unnecessary crap(Cool ranch dressing!).

Re: UYI Box tracklist unveiled?
I just gave it the full treatment... meaning you can hear it down the block.
I noticed a few more differences... Duff's bass is a bit higher in the mix in certain parts. One of Axl's vocal layers in the outro is pretty jarring. That was completely buried previously.
I scratch my previous statement...I want the remixes even more now.
I'd also love to see Wilson, Axl, Slash, and Duff do a new episode in the Classic Albums series. Watching them tinker in the studio with these songs like Metallica, Floyd, and Fleetwood Mac would be amazing.
This song doesn't belong here. These albums are simply remastered (badly it appears) and will have one song remixed. It's really going to stick out.
If they were going to shitcan the remix, just release this song as a separate single to promote the set.
Oh well...they do everything backwards and half assed.
