Never saw this before. This might be right before I started watching AWA. When I watched it,, Bundy wasn't there and Blackwell was teaming up with Slaughter.

It's wacky seeing Bundy as a face. It feels wrong.

Sad that everyone in the ring is now dead.

Now this is bat shit insane...

A literal 80s dream match happening at the tail end of the decade in a dying federation, a near empty venue, and zero promotion. The magazines didn't even talk about it at the time.

Until now, I didn't even know it happened.

They probably made 50 bucks for that match. AWA was coasting on fumes at that point... having to bus in senior citizens from rest homes to get a semi decent crowd.

Anyone following the news this week?  Jeff Hardy got arrested on another DUI this week, in the morning no less.  The big one, Vince McMahon is getting investigated for paying hush money to some paralegal he was having an affair with.  I'm surprised it took so long for stuff like this to come out given it's not exactly a secret that Vince has had affairs and is more or less a scumbag.

The WWE Board of Directors (or something) is investigating him.  I'm not sure he actually broke any laws.  It just seems really sleazy to me.  I left out the worst part of the story: apparently Vince was "sharing" this woman like a toy with John Laurenitis.

Rumor mill is speculating that Stephanie left because she heard or knew this stuff was coming down on him.  If more stuff comes out that's awful PR wise, he may be forced to step down.  It's hard to say though as he still owns the most shares in the company.  It's kinda weird though if he does leave though, a couple of higher on the totem pole (on the wrestling side of things) are  former TNA guys in Jeff Jarrett and Abyss.

I believe there is a serious possibility he broke his fiduciary duty. I’m not sure - but i think there are many rules you have to follow when you’re publicly  traded…and you have a board of directors….it’s a huge racket…that’s the reason i was so surprised he went public…

While yes….Vince loves his money…he’d also have more oversight and more red tape. Although i have to say it doesn’t seem like he and the board ever disagreed on anything.

Also…some real high ups under Vince are now being accused of insider trading…Kevin Dunn (a 25 year high up exec) and a few others dumped millions of shares of WWE in recent days right before this news dropped.

Vince has been fucking his employees since the early 90s that i know of…curious why this is coming up now.

I need to watch the twin referee angle again.

It was announced yesterday... although probably getting buried under the news of this McMahon scandal....

A24 is going to do a movie on the Von Erichs.

This is at least 20 years overdue. I'm really hyped for this. I really hope they can do the story justice.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if this wine a division wrestling Vince has been jamming down our throats for years will be the reason he’s finally taken down?

WWE is so awful right now….the only stars they’ve really created in recent years are female wrestlers. Included one the recently left in disgust just what? A few weeks ago?

September 26 1987.

I don't understand how this team was even put together. It's obviously the period between Nikita getting red hot when he teamed with Dusty and when him and Dusty united again with the Road Warriors to face the Horsemen in War Games.

Hell....Nikita is US champ and Windham Western States Heritage champ.

The team makes no sense... there's no logic behind it...kayfabe or otherwise.

During the match Tony is promoting an upcoming card and he mentions The Midnight Express facing number one contenders...The New Breed.

I don't think that lasted long either.

Yes.

I'm one of the people who believe it. He was a drug and sex addict...plus legitimately crazy.... it's believable.
