Re: Current Events Thread
When did I talk about Biden's age? How many geriatric communists do you guys have in your party? And I don't support Trump, sorry.
No centrists? Don't get anything done? Okay. They got the infrastructure bill passed in the senate, which was sabotaged by progressives, but go off dude.
The exit polls said fear of critical race theory was a deciding factor for independents.

In my opinion it was watered down so much that it wasn’t even worth doing anymore. So I don’t even care if they get it done anymore except for the fact that it makes Biden and the Democrats look feckless. Which they are.

Where did you read that? I can't find it anywhere.
Local Virginia News, https://wjla.com/news/local/exit-poll-r … st-to-them
"Thirty-four percent of Virginia voters said the economy and jobs was the most important issue facing the state, while 17% named COVID-19 and 14% chose education.
Health care, climate change, racism, immigration, abortion and law enforcement were all lower-tier issues.
Voters who ranked the economy and education as the top issues were more likely to back Youngkin over McAuliffe. Voters who identified COVID-19 as the top issue supported McAuliffe over Youngkin. McAuliffe also earned the majority backing of the roughly 2 in 10 who ranked health care, climate change or racism as the top issue."
Re: Current Events Thread
By The way there’s plenty of socialism in this country but it’s only for a select group of people. Just ask why Donald Trump is no federal income taxes. Do you know why? Because businesses that lose money or subsidized by the federal government. That is Socialism.

I still don't think Ciattarelli will pull it off in NJ, but god damn for him to be in the lead and it to be this close, holy shit. I never thought Jersey was in play.

JUST IN - Biden admin is considering payments of $450,000 per person to immigrant families that were separated after illegally crossing the border during the Trump administration (WSJ)If they do this, they can kiss 2024 goodbye. He's been ordered by the courts to reinstate the remain in mexico policy, so paying half a million to illegals who illegally entered the US and didn't qualify for asylum isn't going to go over well with anyone but the incoherent. I doubt the courts would rule he can do this, as congress hasn't allocated any money to be paid to illegal immigrants. "I know the economy is in the shit and inflation is climbing rapidly, but I want your tax dollars to go to people who had no right to enter and illegally tried to do so. Suck it losers, I'm turning illegal families into millionaires!" isn't a campaign winning idea.
Looks like this story was all bullshit fake news. Biden came out and said there’s no truth to it. I’m all for holding leaders accountable, but the made up shit during the Trump years to generate controversy should have ended with Trump. We don’t need media putting out specious trash.
