This came out in NZ first given the time zones and it’s already the 24th September there. We’ll be next in Australia in about an hour, but maybe there will be an official announcement tomorrow (24th) in the US? Are they playing a show then?

They play a gig tonight in the US. Expect it played and a midnight release. The mix is not good at all, there are parts of the Eye on You vocals spliced in at points. Hopefully it grows on me.
The arrangement of the song is better but it's let down by the reusing of old parts that were meant for a differently arranged song. That and the mix just confuse the whole thing.

thoughts after listening to it once while hungover and walking the dog:
- duff's bass intro is AWESOME
- slash was always the key sound missing from gn'r
- the school bell at the beginning is corny as shit
- artwork is even worse (the S meme on there, seriously?)
- axl's vocals are kinda weird, but i'll get used to it
- breakdown is awesome, really reminds me of the illusions
overall, it kicks ass. needs an actual music video with live shots of the band. get this thing out there!

Guess it's easy to release stuff when you don't have to record vocals. I'll be blasting in the truck later for sure.
I'm not complaining, but to your point, taking previously recorded vocals and layering them over a new track isn't a good idea, especially if they're going to do that for an album. But after Absurd, I consider this a god send.
