I taped this last night but haven’t watched it yet. Doesn’t sound like it’s going to be too kind towards Axl.

It was taken offline, but I'm sure alternative methods exist to see it again if you don't live in the US.

I'm not sure it had anything new for us, but the hob footage use was interesting.

Surprised there was no discussion on this so far.

I missed it.

It's amazing that other than Behind the Music, there's no in depth documentary about GNR.

It was trash. Goes straight from Rio 01 to reunion in 2016. Mostly made for tv impersonators and nothing you haven’t already seen.

Doug Goldstein was alright.

I finished watching it this weekend. I thought it was pretty good, especially if you didn’t know the whole story. They did a good job explaining Axl’s rough upbringing and how that shaped him for the rest of his life. Some interesting stuff, although nothing really new.

I didn’t know (or maybe I forgot) that Axl scrapped 6 months of Bucket material when he found out he created it while watching porn. He wanted the album to reflect his soul and thought that people would know that the guitar parts were created through the influence of porn. Just one of the many reasons the process took so damn long.

The ‘process’ is still going on...no?

That is an interesting tidbit but i find it kinda silly. Also bucket watching porn is kind of a funny visual.

I’ve never seen the claim that it was scrapped because he was watching porn. Where/who is that from?

It was from this episode on Reelz. I can’t remember exactly who said it. Could’ve been Goldstein, but I can’t say for sure. I erased it so I can’t go back and check and I can’t find it online anywhere or any future airings.
