If you don't think Trump's last gasps of power are anything but authoritarian in nature, you're clearly not paying attention. It's a full throated assault on our democracy, backed almost entirely by the republican party.

And what is that even based on? Something you pulled entirely out of your ass? Who is sincerely "disappointed"? What a stupid comment.

Point proven. Thanks 15

Not sure if its different overseas but over here there's been pretty much saturation trump coverage since 2016.

People can disagree about if Trump is good or bad, or if the media is accurate or biased, but there's certainly been a lot of coverage. It's been a sort of circus for quite a while - like if you go back and look at everything thats happened in the last 4 years.

Between that and the saturation corona stuff as well for obvious reasons with the pandemic...

I can't help but wonder what the news media looks like in a year when the pandemic is over and when there's a new administration. Like what then? lol

I honestly think this is going to be the way the news is covered now. A lot of prominent liberal journalists are leaving their magazines/websites, even some they started, because of it.

Bro, this will be over in a few weeks. You sound dramatic as fuck... Trump will leave barring an event that proves there was fraud.

The Dems impeached Trump over a bullshit phone call, so you can wait a few weeks

But watch you drool over Hunter Biden for the next several years.

A bullshit phone call? My god you’ve really lowered the bar.

The Hunter Biden stuff was disturbing. He fucks his underage niece on camera and when his sister in law wants him to stop, he has his daddy smooth things over so it can continue.

My only issue with this is how they conveniently dropped it when they no longer needed it and it didn't serve a purpose.

The media joining together to censor it is one thing...but they dropped it to the point Tucker Carlson said he knew Biden and he didn't deserve these attacks and it was time to move on.

It called the whole thing into question and makes me wonder if any of it was real. All the videos they had might have been deep fakes and the texts could have easily been faked.

IF it's real, the media finally covers it, and it doesn't go away, the Bidens are in deep doo doo.

If it gains traction, this isn't one of those scandals you can laugh away or play whataboutism games with.... although I'm sure that won't stop some people from trying.

Tucker’s point was that Hunter was not running for president so he only wanted to cover the parts of his story that affect Joe Biden, which was the business dealings. He did admit he knows Hunter. And he did refuse to cover the salacious details. But the disturbing parts in terms of taking money from a foreign power was high lighted and REAL. There has never been an outright denial of those claims.

It's been nothing but Trump coverage for five years here.

The media is to blame for most of this madness.

He never makes it out of the early Republican primaries without them. They gave him free nonstop coverage from that moment forward.

They clearly wanted him to win. If they didn't, all they had to do was shut up and he would've lost.

They covered his presidency as if it were a reality show and buried us in faux outrage and non stories....or "nothing burgers" as they came to be called.

All of this was by design. They knew exactly what they were doing.

They essentially turned news into a weapon and kept both sides foaming at the mouth 24/7 over stories ranging from Russia to Trump taking a drink of water.

Having said that, he fed off of this. It was a narcissists wet dream.

It became a feedback loop where they fed off of him and he fed off the media. None of this was remotely normal and it was unprecedented.

The media created this monster and was willing to risk doing irreparable damage to our society for the almighty dollar.

Now Trump is on his way out but the monster isn't going anywhere....we have a society that is obsessed with Trump. I'm not talking about his hardcore base that is begging for the election to be overturned. I'm talking about everyone.... including the media that apparently wants him gone now.

I'll always wonder what a Trump presidency would've been like under different circumstances. He never had a chance at a normal presidency. This madness was already in overdrive before he was inaugurated. Once he took office....an utter shit show.

You really need to check yourself with this shot...you need to blame the consumers of media.

This seems contradictory...are you saying the media should’ve paid him no attention and then be accused of censorship?

America loves their bullies and boy did they get one.

They essentially turned news into a weapon and kept both sides foaming at the mouth 24/7 over stories ranging from Russia to Trump taking a drink of water.

Trump is a hero for his abuse of the system. His supporters are masochistic because they’re the victims.

I'll always wonder what a Trump presidency would've been like under different circumstances. He never had a chance at a normal presidency. This madness was already in overdrive before he was inaugurated. Once he took office....an utter shit show.

I don’t...he made enemies before and while in office...then expected cooperation. If he changed his disposition while in office maybe he would’ve accomplished more.

The base first strategy will eventually come back to haunt you.

This is where we diverge.  It was always going to look/be the same.  Trump is who he is.  It does not change.  The guy who doesn't pay attention at all and is dumber than shit (confirmed by multiple former members of his adminstration) those things have nothing to do with media coverage or whatever.  He'll always be the same con/huckster person.

All presidents deal with similar amounts of media coverage.  Trump was never equipped both in temperament or the political savvy or he just never understood the exact job description of what it means to be the US President and the things you have to do.  I get WHY he was elected the first time but if you look at his past it was always going to be a shitshow like this.
