Dude, not disagreeing with you, but I watched Frontline on PBS last night about Alex Jones, it's crazy. Like, crazy people actually believe that shit. And ALOT of people do!! People were stalking and calling Sandy Hook parents. One father even moved, unlisted his #, and his listeners still tracked him down.
His lies were beyond crazy. It was almost funny, like in a Morton Downey Jr/Jerry Springer kindof way, but #pizzagate shows you people take action on that shit.
You're absolutely correct...there is a significant contingent of society that does believe this shit. That would rather believe in conspiracy theories than what's parsimonious and pragmatic. Usually, the simplest solution is the correct one. If an individual goes out of their way to believe in conspiracy theories and there are a significant amount of these individuals...then yes...
misinformation artist with a political agenda are absolute and legitimate actors in a democracy. Some call them smear merchants. They make a shit ton to do these things.

Mitch, I'm not responsible for your continued posting of false information because you can't be bothered to read the content of news articles. Yes, Alex Jones has an internet following and is openly mocked outside of that. Pretending the nonsense on MSNBC or CNN talking about Russian Collusion or Staying out of Office is something said by people in office isn't magnitudes more common and accepted than the crazy shit Jones said is completely disingenuous. I don't know of any congressman saying Sandy Hook is a hoax. I can find plenty that spread Russian disinformation and are worried Trump won't leave office if not re-elected.

You and the paper immediately dismiss that it was the BLM protesters who actually did the destruction there. As has been the case in thousands of instances across the country. On that note, I'm going back to ignoring you since the admins won't enable that ignore feature I've been asking for for years. I have no interests in engaging with you directly. I didn't, I said I wonder what your customers would think of your actual posts, so that's clearly not defamation in linking your own comments. But being truthful isn't something you're capable of.
