Re: US Politics Thread
You’re gonna have to go deep into reddit and twitter and social media. No mainstream websites have got them. Search for boogaloo bois or proud boys or find out the hashtags they’re using. This isn’t just a “give me a link.” It’s a disturbing journey, I might add, unless you think like them.
I guess I'm going to have to wait for the mainstream to link them like they have the videos of Antifa. I have no interest in perusing white power garbage to find homemade videos no one has apparently seen. With the narrative being pushed, you'd think the same media linking videos of Antifa would also link the 3%ers smashing in police vehicles or Target. The one thing I've learned the past 10 years is video evidence is much more important than so called "eye witness" accounts.
I'm not familiar with the boogaloo boys, but google sent me to Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boogaloo_ … oogaloo%22.
Which claims they were present, but the three citations lead to this article from February showing them doing open carry nonsense: https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/social-med … d-n1138461,
Secondly, this Salon article that talks about the history of lynching for 2 pages, then says "There are unconfirmed reports that far-right "boogaloo" agents provocateurs have embedded themselves among the protesters in Minneapolis. There's not information to know whether that's true." : https://www.salon.com/2020/05/30/a-lync … thing-new/
And finally this Vice article, that says "The “boogaloo” is code for impending civil war or violent confrontation with law enforcement, and that’s what they’re hoping to get out of the protests. Their main reason for being there is their antipathy toward law enforcement, and so they’re trying to position themselves as allies of Black Lives Matter protesters. They’ve made police brutality one of their central issues, which was explored at length in a Bellingcat article this week." And shows a video of them guarding a store from being looted, saying they're there in support of the protest in Minneaplous. I have no idea if that's true, but the first image they show on this article are their link saying they're there in support of George Floyd, and Duncan Lemp, who Wiki tells me is a man who was murdered in a no knock raid in March.: https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/pkyb … -civil-war
If this is supposed to prove to me that white power groups are out there in force, I'm confused. That very vice article makes mention of the antifa guy bashing in the glass at an autozone.
This article which is referenced in the Vice article above seems to suggest calling them a White Power group is wrong: https://www.bellingcat.com/news/2020/05 … you-think/
Again, I had never heard of these guys until you mentioned them, but I'll say again, as much as I hate 3%ers, nothing in any of these articles is citing any evidence of them participating in violent acts. In fact the Vice article goes in much depth to correct that notion. I have no idea, as I avoid these types of people, but I'm starting to think that maybe the narrative that this violence was done by anyone but Antifa, is completely misleading. I'll await for evidence to show me otherwise.
Edit: And here's another article from Denver yesterday saying the same thing: https://coloradotimesrecorder.com/2020/ … est/24690/
These are the top hits from google for "Boogaloo Bois". Based on what I read, I don't think they'll be harming people in Chicago tonight.

I think what’s being said is that they’re beginning to use social media and especially twitter to begin to organize like antifa has allegedly already done. They are planning a retaliation...and if antifa was organizing via Twitter why couldn’t anyone?
I’m still not entirely sure what antifa is...I’m wondering if some people don’t even know they’re considered antifa...
I think it’s entirely plausible that this this is in the works...whether it comes to fruition is another things.
Trump is really playing with fire at this moment.

That “Second Amendment rights” comment during his speech. Wow.

Re: US Politics Thread
“ A Twitter account claiming to belong to a national “antifa” organization and pushing violent rhetoric related to ongoing protests has been linked to the white nationalist group Identity Evropa, according to a Twitter spokesperson.
The spokesperson said the account violated the company's platform manipulation and spam policy, specifically the creation of fake accounts. Twitter suspended the account after a tweet that incited violence.”

This is about 10 minutes from my house.
“ CICERO, Ill. — Four people shot, two fatally, in Cicero Monday as unrest and protests over the killing of George Floyd continued for another day.
Town spokesman Ray Hanania confirmed the deaths to WGN News. Hanania said at least 60 people were arrested Monday.
Hanania said there have been “outside agitators” that have entered Cicero “after being rebuffed by the closure of downtown Chicago. The only shots fired have been by these outside agitators and looters who are not Cicero residents.”
