Re: The NHL 2007-08 Season Thread
yeah it was a bummer that colorado suffered so much injuries, i prefer a closer series but still beig a wings fan i cant complain too much, it helps em rest for round 3 cuz it looks like SJ is refusing to die
Dallas better get their shit together next game, they dont wanna go back to the tank for game 7
Re: The NHL 2007-08 Season Thread
this pic says it all
the habs have left price in the dark all by himself...and the media spotlight is on him
now they are second guessing again and putting him back in net, the goaltender is not the problem with the Habs here...the team has to capitalize on their opportunities and fight through the physical play of the flyers...anyway i think pulling price in game 4 was a stupid decision...like i said before he's either the guy or he ain't....the kid has enough worry about without playing head games and following the media, carbinneau should have stood up for him and told the media to fuck off...instead he benched him...and another typical montreal thing, they think he can be the next Roy or Dryden...not too much pressure on him huh? the moemnt they traded Huet they should have known they wouldnt make it far in the playoffs...anything past the first round is a bonus with a rookie goalie

who called it i was gonna pick the flyers to win too but then i second guessed myself
Philly didn't win because of the tough guys... They won because the Habs didn't play near their capabilities. Price was average at best and the power play was a real stinker. The first period went well last night, but once again, the Habs failed to play the majority of a game. And that Umberger guy was absolutely ridiculous. Eight goals in the series? Who does he think he is? Johan Franzen?
Go Sharks!!

Re: The NHL 2007-08 Season Thread
Well the refs tried to give game 5 to the Habs, as they did with game 1, but they couldn't do it. Philly was the better team - more hustle, better goaltending, clutch performances - maybe they didn't look in control very often but they got the job done. Congrats to them. I really feel for Price, he had a lot of weight put on his shoulders and I hope this doesn't ruin his future (except when he's playing Buffalo).
Go Pens!

some amazing play by both teams and the goalies were crazy, judging by the replays on the sports station this morning, but the game was decided on a tripping penalty...that really sucks

Re: The NHL 2007-08 Season Thread
That tripping callw asa legit call though Neemo. That was an unbelievable game though. I had to work at 1:30 am so I was a little bit pissed but it was so good I couldn't go to bed. Then once you get to that triple OT mark you can't walk away cause you're watching potential history in the making haha.
I can't believe I went 0 for 4 in the last round. I'm an idiot. Anyways....
Stars in 7
Penguins in 6
Having said that: Let's Go Flyers!!!! yeah I said it. I'm cheering for Philly now.
