Re: The NHL 2007-08 Season Thread
How about them Wings??
Although it is worrysome that when the Avs switched goalies, we couldn't get one past the new dude!
We'll see who starts on for them Saturday.
the only chance in hell Theodore doesn't start is if he's injured or sick(which is rumored). He started 26 of the last 27 games for the Avalanche and has basically played lights out the entire time. Trust me there is no goaltending controversy in Colorado.
habs vs Flyers was weird. Montreal seemed to control the play for the fisrt two periods yet could only managed a 2-2 tie. They hit the post twice and Biron stopped a penalty shot. The Flyers were lucky to not be down 5-2 after 2 periods. The 3rd though was disgusting. The Habs deserevd to lose based on that alone but hey they didn't so it evens out. Kovalev's 1st goal wasn't a highstick in my opinion. At first I thought it was but after revieing it to me it looked like he made contact at or just belwo the crossbar.
Huge comeback for the Penguins today. I picked the Rangers but I hope Pitsburgh wins. I think Montreal(if they get by Philly) has a better shot at beating Pittsburgh than the Rangers. Plus after Crosby plays a playoff game in Montreal he'll know he wants to sign there once his contract in Pittsburgh is up haha;)
If Forsberg doesn't play the Avs are done. With Forsberg the Wings are done in my opinion. Something wasn't right with Theo last night and that'll change.
Dallas and San Jose? Who fucking cares haha.
Re: The NHL 2007-08 Season Thread
How did Lundqvist and the D collapse like that? Up 3-0 and they lost... of all the teams int he playoffs I'd think the Rangers could hold a lead. Either this series is gonna be crazy, or the Rangers will fall apart under this game. It's a heartbreaker for them. Especially with that penalty being a weak call.
remember when the Habs came back from being down 5-0 to the Rangers this year. The Rangers collapsing shouldn't be too much of a surprise. they did it a few times this year.
Re: The NHL 2007-08 Season Thread
uh oh habbys
I don't know how they expect to win by playing 15 minutes of one period. And the only reason they pulled close was because they got lucky when Plekanec didn't get called for tripping Umberger. I cringed when I watched a post-game interview with Higgins and he said they thought they played well enough to win. He certainly wasn't playing the same game that I saw. They lost all battles in the first two periods and were badly outplayed. I don't understand why they don't put someone in front of Biron like Philly's doing on the other end. I mean, Biron's seeing every shot. Price definitely didn't see at all tonight, he had an ass in his face every shot on net.
Hatcher made a dumbass play though. Why the hell do you hit a guy from behind, especially when your team's up 3-0. If I was John Stevens, he wouldn't play Wednesday.
Anyway, I have to go and remove the remote control from my TV screen.
Re: The NHL 2007-08 Season Thread
Yeah Birons playing great, but I suppose alot of shots he does have a clear view of. Hatchers play did seem kinda boneheaded, but I suppose that's what they get with players like him. You take the good with the bad. Kindof like Rasheed Wallace in Basketball, great player, but he'll get some stupid technical fouls too.
