Re: The Best of Rough Mixes Disc 1, Elimination Series Round 3
Vote for your least favorite track. The track with the most votes will be eliminated.
*In the event of a tie in the earlier rounds, all tied tracks will be lost. No tie breaker, until the later stages.*
This is based on Rough Mixes Disc 1 only, not any other demo or the album copy.
Voting closes in 2 days.
Re: The Best of Rough Mixes Disc 1, Elimination Series Round 3
Damn. Riad didn't deserve such an early exit. It was one of two bad ass rockers on this early version of the album.
I gotta vote Prostitute again. Even though it's better here than it was on the actual album, it just doesn't do much for me and besides, it becomes redundant in the mix with The Blues, Madagascar, and TWAT.
Re: The Best of Rough Mixes Disc 1, Elimination Series Round 3
I'm not sure on this vote.
The Blues, Catcher in the Rye, Perhaps and Chinese Democracy are the best versions of each available. Madagascar might be too.
I really like this version of Atlas, despite not being too fond of the first leak.
That leaves Prostitute and There Was A Time. TWAT is my favourite track on the album and one of my favourites in the entire back catalogue, however this isn't the best version of the track. I can't say that about the other tracks. I actually need to think on this one.

I’m also going to keep my vote as Catcher, I still always skip it off this disc lol

there was a time is pointless without bucket
it's like estranged with no slash
Re: The Best of Rough Mixes Disc 1, Elimination Series Round 3
I still love this version of There Was A Time even without Bucket. Although obviously Bucket took it to another level at some point after this.
I was almost tempted to vote it off tbh too. I think in this form, the first verse comes across a little more self indulgent. ...But it's just great musically either way.
I voted off Atlas Shrugged, albeit with great hesitation.
