Random thought: anyone notice how none existent the First Lady is?
She really is just some kind of play toy for trump.
What purpose would a public presence serve? First Ladies are historically nonpartisan. Short of Hillary taking a role in universal healthcare, I can’t think of any First Lady being the face of any major policy position.
What was Jackie Kennedy the face of? Ladybird Johnson?
The First Lady became an advocate for separated migrant children. That was pretty bold. I’m not sure what you’re expecting her presence to mean.

It crossed my mind a bit too seeing Trump get off the plane alone.
Typically tho during domestic travel for Presidential & disaster related issues the Presidents do tend to be alone. However, I'll say this, Melania sure hasn't been seen in a while. Since before Christmas IIRC. Wouldn't surprise me if talk about it heats up in another week or two if she's never around.

I'm not asking her to take a stance...I just would like the first lady to mean something to the country. She doesn't. She's a total Khardasian...devoid of any substance whatsoever.

I bet this becomes Trumps exit strategy. It's his only shot at it. "End the Pelosi/Shumer shutdown in order to SAVE the farmers!" and push a 'Democrats don't care about farmers" message to maintain the rural America constituency.

Farmers affected by the U.S.-China trade war tariffs thought relief was on the way after the Trump administration extended the deadline for financial aid.
But the government shutdown means these farmers are not receiving their payments. On top of that, farmers can’t even apply for loans for next season.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s farmer bailout program involved two installments. The first round of payments, approximately $4.7 billion, were distributed in September 2018; the second round of $9.57 billion began in December.
The deadline to apply for this aid was initially Jan. 15, 2019, though this was extended due to the government shutdown. (The program is based on the impact to an agricultural industry’s export sales.) But applications can’t be received if the USDA is closed.
“In order for a [crop] producer to apply for the program, they have to go to their local USDA office, where those people are furloughed,” Andrew Novakovic, a professor of agricultural economics at Cornell University, told Yahoo Finance. “Until those people are back on the job, there’s no one to give the application to.”

One thing about Cohen to look out for, I have a feeling Stormy & McDougal weren't the only ones, as there were NDA's signed by the recipients. Some, might have just wanted the money anyway. Wouldn't surprise me if this becomes a Tiger Woods situation where it's discovered there's many more. Which puts the money spent & not reported into the millions.
Also CNN says while some Mueller investigation issues won't be covered or answered to, it's possible the Trump Moscow talks may be, and how long into the campaign it stretched.
Those women weren't the only ones...not by a long shot.
