The pussification? We should all just get used to disrespect...then that should include trump and his supporters.

Honestly...it’s pretty hard to see what you DO care about. It’s pretty obvious what you don’t care about.

You’re like 5 years late dude. There was a buzzfeed video years ago that said women are raped by cat calls, raped by men’s eyes, and raped by the way their fathers discipline them. Granted it’s fringe shit, but so were identity politics a decade ago.

Actually you have no problem being disrespectful to us several times a day, we're just not reporting you to HR... Because, you know, we're not some pussy snow flake who needs a hug and reassurance that we're special. wink

The people that are so coddled that they have no idea how to handle adversity are the ones that end up shooting up schools or killing themselves because someone called them fat.  We're not doing kids any favors trying to protect them from pain as kids.  They need to experience the pain so they can learn how to handle it.  Coddling them is destroying the future of this country far more than anything Trump is doing.

Yea but in the Trump era...aren’t we supposed to be disrespectful and rude to each other in the Trump era?

So how are you supposed to handle it? Pain....

Oh yea...just absorb it.

In some cases, absolutely.

Do you understand learning at all?   People learn through experience.  When a kid throws a fit or something goes wrong, mommy and daddy give it whatever to shut it up or make it feel better.  Kid learns that throwing a fit gets them what they want.  They make it to the real world and find out pitching a fit gets you kicked in the nuts.  They have no idea how to respond because the real world isn't treating them the way mommy and daddy did.  They then have no idea how to handle things.  They think the world is being unfair to them.  Maybe it is on some level, but that's life.  Nobody owes you anything.

You talked about disrespect.  Disrespect is what gang members use as an excuse to kill people.  It would be nice if people treated each other a little better, but this isn't utopia.  Liberals have all these ideas that are fantastic in utopia, but we're so far from that, which renders most of those ideas useless.

Of course I understand that...but you talk about this as though it's the rule and not the exception. Yes kids are coddled and they end up being unable to cope with the real world. But the real world handles them...the real world either shapes them into what they need to be or they fall by the wayside and end up stagnating in their development.

Maybe liberals have a vision of utopia...but at least they try. I don't see true conservatives even trying. It's always the simplest, cheapest solution to everything that doesn't take in long term consequences of solutions into account. These solutions don't require any type of enlightenment. A true utopian vision can never be achieved if the average American is a mindless consumer blindly following whichever person they say last on TV. Capitalism only works in my opinion if the masses are like that. Utopia requires enlightenment and not having this 'I'm the center of the universe' attitude. True enlightenment is not eating until your sick just because the food is free. We don't strive for that around here...not even close.
