Re: GNR.FM | Destruction Is Coming
Ho-lee-fuk thats a pricy box (1000USD). oh well. we got a new video on youtube for Shadow Of Your Love
Not only does the guitar work sound brand new, I think those are new vocals. I prefer the old demos, but this version still kicks butt and I'm glad the 95% of GN'R casual fans out there will get to hear this song instead of it being in the dust bin as an outtake forever.

Re: GNR.FM | Destruction Is Coming
It's hard to know about the vocals....they sound like 80s Axl - but then it's not the take used in the LALD single B-side...and I don't think it's the take re-mixed by Gilby Clarke either...but there's a few other boots of the song around so it could be one of the others cleaned up.

LOL. Are you high?
Axl's vocals sound AMAZING. They are from the '80s

Re: GNR.FM | Destruction Is Coming
I’d love a studio take of Nightrain without the fade out like the live version. Not sure if that’s an option but it’d be great if it exists.
Always loved the NR demo so glad that’s being made available. I’ve wondered if the really early version of NR ‘Sweet Lorraine’ ever existed as a studio take. Always wondered how that sounded.
I’d be stunned if those vocals are from recently on SOYL. Gotta be 80’s vocals right?
Re: GNR.FM | Destruction Is Coming
CA: A lot of fans were hoping for a 25th anniversary re-issue of Appetite - was that ever on the cards?
Axl: I wouldn't mind re-mastering it sometime.
CA: Is there anything left in the vaults from the Appetite sessions that could see the light of day?
Axl: Not that I'm aware of but it's worth a look. There aren't any new or different songs but maybe a couple versions of things that we felt didn't quite make the grade, although most of that made it out as bootlegs back in the day.

I feel like re-recording a song that didn't make the cut back in the day would be an enormous waste of time – not least because the whole point of the exercise is to present a time capsule of GN'R in '85 – '87.
That said, these big box-set projects aren't above remixing and assembling "new" material from the old demos – take a look at this Queen cut from the recent News of the World box set, which mashes up Freddie Mercury's demo vocals with the Brian May album cut:
But it's important for the sake of authenticity that all of the elements in that mix are from the original recordings.
