Re: US Politics Thread
Franken gone.
The Latest: "I may be resigning my seat, but I am not giving up my voice," Sen. Al Franken said on the Senate floor. He says he'll address issues as an activist. https://t.co/DxhxKAmrZ7

I have to say this is more integrity than I’ve seen in awhile even if there may be political motivation.

White House says "dry" throat caused Trump to slur speech during speech yesterday.

The Dems always think that doing the honorable thing will pay dividends. It won't. Republicans will simply lie about their position anyway (sound familiar?) and continue to attack. The GOP doesn't give a rat's ass if Trump molested 12 women, talked about 11 year old girls ("one day I'll be dating her") or that Moore has been molesting children for years. They simply don't care, and neither do their voters. Just ask those who support Moore or Trump what they think about this.

I get that...i really feel this is risky and in the end won’t change much.
Re: US Politics Thread
I heard Minnesota has the other seat up for the 2018 Senate race too, would make that a big election state for both sides.
RCP polls seem to be pretty chaotic for Alabama, R or D, but more tend to go with R. That said, sometimes people are more likely to vote against someone they hate, than for someone they don't really like all that much. Dems best chance is a rainy day where only the angry ppl go out to vote. Otherwise I'd say Moore prolly wins it.

I was thinking last night could've been cotton mouth, possibly if he's on any meds at all (heart related etc) the standing, lights etc could've caused it. On a worse note, it could be brain related (cyst)

Re: US Politics Thread
After thinking about it all day...I’m not pleased at all with this decision by Franken. Or the people who encouraged him or pushed him.
Democrats really are totally fucked. There really is little to look forward to...the senate was the only place the Dems had any hope of stopping:having any influence.
I can’t really see any kind of long game here. This is just self-righteous indignant behavior that’ll make them all feel good for a few days. Warren and Schumer have actually harmed the Dems position with this.

Donald Trump Jr refused to answer questions about what he told his Dad after the infamous Russia meeting, citing Attorney/Client Privelege.
Even though neither Jr or father are attorneys, lol. Ludicrous. Such "transparency" with this regime.
