About The Album:
Manson has said that the album is "not very much in any way like The Pale Emperor.
The people who have heard the new songs said it reminded them of their favorite parts of Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals—but with a new, different approach. It's pretty violent in its nature for some reason, and it's not emotional in the same way. It's got a chip on its shoulder.
Manson has described it as "by far the most thematic and over-complicated thing that I've done",[13] and has said it contains some of his most politically charged lyrics.

I'm only a casual manson fan (know all the big radio hits of his prime) then the The Pale Emperor really won me over....I was really keen for a follow up....not too excited that they seem to be explicitly saying it's different though. But i'll check it out anyway.

Tasteless to release it on 9/11. The second I think of giving this douche a chance & he does something just totally lame & desperate attention grab like that. Guy is & always will suck & be a NIN reject. Fuck him.

Hmmm....can't say that one inspired me much...i'm hoping there's something somewhere on the album I like though....I liked a few tracks from Pale Emperor so I believe he can write songs I like still.
