You watch one youtube video and think only white liberals make this claim in regards to poor people and driver's licenses/IDs. Plenty of black democrat leaders have made this argument as well.

You also cheered on a racist endorsed by the KKK for POTUS, but then have the audacity to act perturbed about "implicit racism" by the left. As if you ever gave a shit about racism in the first place. Spare us please.

Just my opinion!

I agree. Milo is a piece of shit, but he only has a following because even bigger, more worthless turds find him compelling.

I just posted something about how disproportionate the voting is in Wisconsin at the state government level to the representation. Republicans have vast majority's in both places of Congress and a Republican governor.

62.5% of the representation goes to what 49% of the state voted for. Why that doesn't bother you boggles my fucking mind.

Who drew the districts?  There's no way you'll have a perfect district and people 100 miles away shouldn't be in the same district as people in Madison or Milwaukee to leverage city voters pull either.  Census is in 4 years, you'll have a chance to change it then.

I'm glad that you and I agree on most of this. In fact, we might agree on all of this. I think it's worth appreciating that not a single member on this board advocates voter fraud.

If voter fraud is something we really want to deal with then I think we can come up with a better way. A way that safeguards eligible voters as much as protects against voter fraud.

There are a couple of other posters here who are also adding interesting information on the topic.

I think it will be difficult to find 100% accurate statistics on who has been disenfranchised and how. I think we're going to have to just use logic and instincts to see  that while the current policies on voter IDs very likely prevent voter fraud, I think it's also quite plausible that they disenfranchise some eligible voters as well. Unless both of  those thingsare the intent of the law, I think it's worth considering the effect  that these new rules have on elections.

Pollux as usual is correct. And honestly, if in 2016, you are so out of it you don't have an ID is that responsible for voting to be forced on them?  They are probably not well informed and apathetic. Everyone (law abiding legal citizen) "can" vote but it doesn't mean they "should" vote.

As usual you are talking about something completely different than what I just said. The rest is just...ironic.

The rise in racism over the last year or so is the worst I remember it in my lifetime. However it's the denial of racism that is even more insidious in my opinion. The mental acrobats required by Republicans and Trump voters to see what Trump coddles, and to advocate it anyway, is beyond me. Sitting on the sidelines while this happens makes you just as guilty as the perpetrators IMO.

Never before have I seen a president, or president elect, tell his constituents to "stop it" when a reporter brought up their aggressive racism towards other Americans. Trump telling his supporters to quit acting like racist dicks is an indictment of his message alone.

Don't be silly. I grew up with rednecks that wore confederate flag shit and were friends with black folks. In the country rednecks like the flag cause they hate the north, not blacks. But sure there are idiots everywhere.

No, SG, people see the flag as representing their culture. I'm a son of confederate veterans. I always called it a southern flag or rebel flag. It represents something to me that it doesn't to others, and I respect that. It represents my home to me, while to others it says, "not welcome." And you know as well as I do there are many ignorant assholes who use it to be hateful and to intimidate, and are racist, who have no idea the REAL history of that flag; that it was NOT the confederate flag, it was a southern battle flag based on a Scottish independence flag, and it was used by Lees army to differentiate between the real confederate flag and the american flag as they were nearly identical. The war was not popular with confederate soldiers as most of them were drafted, and used the battle flag, a soldiers flag, to memorialize their fallen brothers in arms after the war and not the flag of the Confederacy. The Confederacy was an evil empire. End of story. And States Rights is a fucking joke.

The original Klan never used the rebel flag. A bunch of ignorant rednecks started using it in the 20s-60s. It's stained because of it. And most of the idiots who show the flag aren't even flying or wearing the right flag. They're waving a Navy Jack flag with the wrong color scheme. Because they're stupid and don't know shit about the flag.
