This race is over. The only question is whether or not this will be a catastrophe for the GOP in state & local races. In PA, the Senate race is with incumbant Pat Toomey (R) vs newer Kathy McGinty. Previously, the ads mocked her with Trumpisms like "Shady Katie" and "Millionaire Katie McGinty". She's been running ads with him verbally saying things that match things Trump said (Abortion, Russia etc) Now, with the race very close & McGinty winning Toomey threw everything out the window and has an ad with him, sitting down, only talking about his record, his experience, what he's going to do for Pennsylvanias, distancing himself from Trump & the dirtiness of this race, and a road he'll lose if he goes down.
In watching it, it seems so much more that a new ad. It's a change of direction, preventive care. Changing what's been happening to the RCP polls since August, and that is him, and likely alot of GOPers beginning to lose. With Trump losing the race now, he has no vested interest in preserving the party's races and helping downticket pols win their race. No putting on a good face for the team, Trumps been in this for himself since day 1. He's gonna continue with the erratic rhetoric thru and thru, and the wacky vote will show up, but it'll be interesting to see the overhaul on that day. It could get close to the bloodbath of 2006 when Donald Rumsfeld was essentially fired the next day. The thing is, Trump would not care if any of that happened, he wouldn't. He'd only be upset that he lost.
