The irony is Obama could have been a good partner for republicans, and the smart ones know this, but their party became an uncontrollable monster.

I disagree about Trump, he exists as a candidate BY the bozos who took over Congress and the senate. He's the fruit of their loins. He is the new tea party. He attracts independents because he is not politically correct, he says things people secretly think, he's anti liberalism, which is out of control and is responsible for Trump IMO, and he's different. But different isn't always good.

I've worked out what this election is.

It's the battle between "So Fine" and "My World" for the best GNR song:

Trump is like "My World". Fundamentally it's a self-interested project that other than it's pure-brashness of doing it's own thing doesn't really have a GNR related vibe. It's not going to be good for the group that's for sure, and when you look at the qualities you expect in a GNR song like a huge guitar solo - they're just entirely absent. Yet, despite it's obvious flaws, it's so different to the rest of the album that it's sickly appealing in it's own way.

Hillary is "So Fine". Everyone agreed we should mix it up and not make a second "Shotgun Blues" but somehow in the battle to progress we came up with the idea of having Duff on lead vocals. It's clearly not working but we can't go back now. The song is sort of awkward, you can't tell if it's a parody of a soft song, an early soft song, a cynical easy soft song or if it's just not properly thought out. There's still some good stuff buried somewhere like a strong slash solo but overall you're left with the feeling that you wanted to like it more than you did. It just feels kinda off - but then again - it's more like the GNR you're used to than My World I guess.

Meanwhile somewhere else on the record lies You Could Be Mine, November Rain, Coma and Estranged....but this contest is about My World vs So Fine.

And it's nearly time to vote.

Wow dude, that's great. You were either wicked high or have a warped sense. Interesting analogy tho, well done. 22

Blood money: Hillary Clinton’s latest scandal involves taking $100K from an ISIS sponsor

Benghazi and the email scandals may be the least bit that Hillary Clinton has to be concerned about.

A brand new report found that the Clinton Foundation has accepted at least $100,000 from a company called “Lafarge” and that Clinton herself has been directly involved with the corporation, according to the left-wing British political blog The Canary.

Lafarge also has close ties to Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Apart from being a regular donor to the Clinton Foundation, Clinton herself was a director of Lafarge in the early 1990s, and did legal work for the firm in the 1980s. During her connection to Lafarge, the firm was implicated in facilitating a CIA-backed covert arms export network to Saddam Hussein.

Even worse is that Lafarge was recently accused of secretly sponsoring the Islamic State (ISIS), paying taxes to the terrorist organization to operate its cement plant in Syria and the company has even bought oil from ISIS.

The connections to Clinton could not be more evident, as she has a history with Lafarge dating back to the early 1990’s.

From 1990 to 1992, Clinton served on Lafarge’s Board of Directors. Under her tenure, Lafarge’s Ohio subsidiary was caught burning hazardous waste to fuel cement plants. Clinton defended the decision at the time.

Then just before her husband, Bill Clinton, was elected president in 1992, Lafarge was fined $1.8 million by the Environmental Protection Agency for these pollution violations. Hillary Clinton had left the board of Lafarge in spring, just after her husband won the Democrat nomination. A year later, under Bill’s presidency, the Clinton administration reduced Lafarge’s EPA fine to less than $600,000.

I want to know what " bought from ISIS" means. It's not as if ISIS is running oil refineries. They paid taxes to whom? An elected official as required by law, who might be suspected of "supporting" ISIS, whatever that means.

Sounds like someone is stretching a connection to ISIS in order to manufacture a story.  ISIS existing hurts Clinton. Terror attacks and the legacy of Syria negatively impact her security position with the voters. Why would she want ISIS outside of some contrived, illuminati, alien lizard men theory?

Obama had a supermajority congress for 2 years and did jack shit. Only at the very end did they manage to squeeze through Obamacare, which turned out to be a complete joke and has undergone major revisions and legal challenges, not to mention the tragedy of how it was rolled out.

After 2010, Obama and Reid were unwilling to budge on anything the GOP house wanted, with Reid refusing to let any bill Obama disliked from being voted on in the Senate.

All those things you credit him for are a result of the machine continuing to run without a driver. GITMO, the wars, all from pre existing agreements and plans that Obama either couldn't alter or once he got in the situation room he understood they had to continue.

Obama has acted with greater authority than any modern president and has tested the constitutional reach of his position.  His legacy will be the mess that is Obamacare and his failed amnesty plan.   Only in hushed circles will anyone try to pretend Obama was responsible for nabbing Bin Laden, as if he managed the CIA and Seals' plans.

He's the president that made sure every kid got a trophy and felt good about themselves, and he got a noble prize for it.

It's been a great week for Trump!

For the first time in 30 years, a gallop poll shows that the RNC convention has left most Americans less likely to vote for a presidential nominee. Looks like it was a total bust.

His despicable comments about the Kahn family may also be the beginning of his demise. If he's not smart enough to shut his trap for something like this, then he clearly doesn't have the temperament to be POTUS. At the very least, strategically, he should be wise enough not to address it. But he couldn't help himself...and here he is with various Vet groups and Republicans speaking out against him.
