Listen dipshits, I don't critique yor mindset in the UK, so I don't understand your attacks here. Obama is a nice guy and likeable but over all has had a poor presidency. I am not a "Trump" guy but between him and Hilary TRUMP all the way.

You think you and your people will ultimately benefit from whatever antiquated notions you're desperately clinging to? I guess I gave you more credit than you deserve.. Turkey is not a third world country. It is a relatively modern, Western country with mostly modern values where the majority of people are muslim. That is a feat and something that should be applauded, nurtured and helped. It is an example of true integration and a great step towards deradicalisation of some of the nastier parts of Islam. It is now on the brink of sliding back into secularism and has a president who is trying to suspend Human Rights, something he actually shouldn't be able to do as Turkey as a member of the Council of Europe. World leaders should be deploring these actions.
"Peasants"? Are you serious? Turkey is a country with great interest from big business, and many smart talented individuals work there.
Also, what does speaking English, have to do with how deserving a people are of help. Saying shit like that is what gets you a reputation for being xenophobic. Because there is no point to bring it up unless you are trying to suggest that certain people are lesser than you for not speaking your mother tounge - when they're not even in your fucking country!

Think you're misreading the Turkish situation - backsliding into secularism?? Turkey was a bastion of secularist democracy. It's backsliding into a caliphate/Islamic State, into mob rule by sympathetic Islamists & a gateway for Isis. It's ruled by a religious zealot who wants to undo all the progress the country has made until this point.
But yea, I'd welcome an old fashioned CIA-led coup to displace Erdogan. It looks increasingly like this was a fake coup orchestrated by Erdogans people. & even if it were a genuine failed coup the result is the same. Just allowing him to enact some medieval purge to increase power & eliminate enemies. Upwards of 20,000 have now been detained, incarcerated or put under house arrest! All under the disgusting name of religion and Islam. These people are barbaric & evil. The Turkish people should never have allowed this mad man to come to power. Seems like people refuse to learn lessons from history.
