Re: Axl Rose joins AC/DC
OK, just found a new article with comments from Brian about the hearing loss. He puts it into great perspective by comparing to young sports people who get injured and it ends their career. He has had a great run for a very long time and at least this didn't happen when he was 25 like it does for some of those sports people. Also good perspective from him that it's not life or death. As he said, it's not cancer or some terminal disease. And he is pretty lucky to have had a great long life in rock and roll. Bon Scott was not so fortunate (likewise with Cobain, Lennon, Hendrix, and so many others).

Pretty funny, about other bands Axl should front.
Re: Axl Rose joins AC/DC
I dunno bout most of 'em bands even though its just for fun, but can you imagine in a weird mad future that follows this mad time, Axl was to go with Queen and nail those songs as well???
He'd be like the greatest rock singer ever and everyone would bow down...
And we'd be like... We knew it all along, he's the fucking greatest, ever!!

Wow, that is kind of fucked up... in that interview, Brian says the worst of it began in Winnipeg, the show I went to in September.

Funny that the writer doesn't know he has covered Back in the Saddle. I kinda like the idea of Axl becoming a journeyman singer and fronting ALL THE BANDS. Not Queen though, Lambert has that one sewn up.

Even the haters are copping to the fact that Axl Rose is completely crushing his new gig touring as frontman for Aussie hard rockers AC/DC. Did even the most hardcore Guns N’ Roses fans expect anything like this?
After the warm-up shows? Frankly, no. We did witness him rising above the quagmire of 2011-14 to a friskier performer, again.
Hardcores tend to curb their enthusiasm on all things Axl much more than the common joe.
Re: Axl Rose joins AC/DC
For those hoping he'll sound as good when he gets back to GNR, I think the lack of Mickeyness in Axl's voice in the AC/DC songs is down to the songs themselves. Listen to this, somewhat softer song that they just played in Prague yesterday, almost no rasp at all: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=500nwYyYiHc
Luckily, he still doesn't sound out of breath or pitchy or any of the other 'symptoms' he had during the CD era.
