Vladivostok - Prism (1977) - Axl's Vocal Inspiration?

I know Axl has said Dan McAfferty was a big vocal inspiration, but I've been listening to a lot of Prism lately (they're playing a 5 minute drunken stumble from my apartment) and I heard this song... I wonder if Axl hadn't heard this one a lot? What do you guys think? The beginning of the song, especially, as trained as my ears to Axl, I would have put money down it was early Axl legit.

For what it's worth, the singer of that song, Ron Tabak, died in 1984. And if you don't agree with me, hopefully you've been introduced to a kick ass Canadian tune you might listen to down the road again.
