What a schedule. The league really wants the Pats at the top. That schedule is way too easy for a team that went undefeated in the regular season.
Giants have a pretty tough schedule.
Re: NFL 08-09 week by week schedule
as a pats fan i gotta say that schedule is pretty awesome...though it may make them lose focus if eek after week they play poor teams or get a false sense of security anyway...still though with their division they kinda get a bunch of easy games anyway...no offense to JEts, dolphins and bill fans of course
Re: NFL 08-09 week by week schedule
Yeah, the division plays a role in a weak schedule, but they should have played some tougher non divisional opponents.
They should have scrapped the Raider game and had them play Cleveland instead. Instead of San Francisco, they should have played either the NY Giants or Minnesota.

Re: NFL 08-09 week by week schedule
I can't believe of all games they take away Miami at Buffalo. Fuck that! It's the biggest rivalry in Buffalo sports and they just move it to Toronto. I understand having a game in Toronto, but why not have it against a non-conference team? The NFL wants the Bills to move.
If the crowd is split alliances I'll be pissed.

Yeah, going to be an interesting few years for Bills fans. NFL has always wanted to expand, and the Bills present an opportunity to experiment a bit with the concept.
Most predicted a team would go to Mexico first. Looks like its gonna be a bit north instead.
I don't think the NFL is going to start more expansion teams. The product is already diluted enough as it is, and they know it. When the NFL expands its borders, its likely to be with already existing teams. Buffalo is practically a tripwire into canadian territory, so its only obvious that the Bills will be the sacrificial lamb.
On a side note, Bills will be lucky if they're 2-3 going into that bye week.
Bears have a tough schedule.

Yeah, I don't get that?? How did they work it out last year, didn't NYG play Miami in London. Did one of those teams lose a home game?
They need to move a southern team like Atlanta. Down there college football rules & no one cares about NFL. A friend of mine lives down there & says people in Georgia didn't even like Michael Vick that much because he went to Virginia Tech. They could never root for a player like Peyton Mannin or Tim Tebo who went to Florida or Tennessee, because of their SEC college football rivalries.
Buffalo has a good football following, why not make Miami or Atlanta lose their home game. Oh well, at least it will still be close to Buffalo, still sucks though.

Re: NFL 08-09 week by week schedule
The Pats may seem to have an easy schedule for next year, but its not because the NFL wants them to win or anything. The opponents are chosen years in advance. The only thing chosen recently is the dates. The division rotate every year and play another division, in addition to the inter-divisional games.

Yeah, they just happen to get the NFC and AFC West this season, which were both horrendous conferences record-wise last year. As easy as their schedule is though, most of their tough games are on the road (@ Chargers, @ Colts, @ Seahawks). And since I have tickets to all the home games this year (2nd year running), I'm not too happy about that. Their only real tough home games are against the Broncos (who they usually have trouble with) and the Steelers. So that should even things out a little.
