The three "core" members of the current GUNS N' ROSES reunion lineup — Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan — will evenly split profits from the band's upcoming North American tour, according to Page Six. The three originals are also the only band members whose names are being featured in advertising for the tour, with additional members Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer, Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese not highlighted.
According to The Pulse Of Radio, the four non-core members are probably being paid a salary for the live shows. Axl Rose, who owns the GN'R brand, had all the members of the previous GUNS lineup, which included no founding members but him, under salary.
Slash, who left the group in 1996, said in 2007 that he quit after Rose had other members sign contracts "like we were defined as hired hands."
GUNS N' ROSES will play the first of two shows at Las Vegas' new T-Mobile Arena on Friday night (April 8). The band will also play two gigs in Mexico City in addition to the Vegas and Coachella dates, before launching a stadium trek this summer.
The band is getting a reported $8 million for its two appearances at California's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this month and an average of $2.75 million per show on the tour.
By comparison, Rose's most recent pre-reunion lineup of GUNS N' ROSES was getting somewhere between $350,000 and $500,000 per show, according to Billboard's industry sources.
GUNS N' ROSES is booked by Ken Fermaglich at United Talent Agency. Live Nation's Steve Herman is running point on the tour, according to Billboard.
AEG Live, once in contention to promote the summer stadium run, is producing both the Vegas shows and the Coachella appearance, the latter through its Goldenvoice division.
Several hours after announcing the tour on April 1, GUNS N' ROSES played a surprise gig at the Troubadour, one of the Los Angeles clubs where the band first performed before the release of its debut album, 1987's "Appetite For Destruction".
The concert was advertised as "Not In This Lifetime" by the venue, quoting what Rose said in 2012 about a possible classic GUNS N' ROSES lineup reunion. The same phrase has since been announced as the name of the band's upcoming tour.
GUNS N' ROSES has sold 44.5 million albums in the United States, according to the RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America).

If true that's a hell of a deal for Duff. Not that he doesn't deserve it, but I don't think he'd ever get an even split with Axl and Slash back in the 90s.
Imo it would be well deserved, and I would be positively surprised Axl agreed to it.

If true that's a hell of a deal for Duff. Not that he doesn't deserve it, but I don't think he'd ever get an even split with Axl and Slash back in the 90s.
Imo it would be well deserved, and I would be positively surprised Axl agreed to it.
Well, it does seem that he's basically responsible for bringing the band back together.
One thing I do think is a bit of a shame is that Fortus, Dizzy, Ferrer and Melissa have basically been relegated to "backing players" in the publicity, when in the previous version of the band they were all on an equal footing with Stinson, Buckethead, DJ or whoever. I get that they're not the big draw for most of the audience, but I'd really like to see them presented as a band – get some publicity shots of the whole gang together, that sort of thing.

He is the glue between Axl and Slash. He's the guy who got along the best with everyone.

I'd also imagine that VR and every band he's played in since have given him a large share of the money.
That sets a precedent.
He's also financially savvy, he runs a wealth management firm called Blood Meridian so he knows money.

I see this as no different then Pink Floyd post Waters.
You had Gimour, Mason, and Wright and then a bunch of other guys who were "in" PF, but were getting paid above scale to emulate the parts that they used to all be able to play.

They are a BAND.
Axl, Slash & Duff = Guns N' Roses, and what they are saying -- this has been the case since 1990.
Although they are not technically a 3-piece, Alice In Chains is also basically Jerry/Sean/Mike Inez. That group would tour under the AIC banner, whether DuVall was there or not. They did before DuVall was there.
Metallica = Hetfield, Ulrich & Hammett. Nobody considers Rob a member of the band. As soon as Jason was shown the door (for no fucking reason), it became a 3-piece.
Van Halen = Dave/Eddie/Alex. Nobody is paying to see Wolfie.
Queen & The Who are even less so. Just 2 OG's and a backing band.
That's why I went off about Dizzy Reed getting slighted. I didn't get it. 25 years of loyalty to Axl, plus being on the Illusion records, and being in the Hall, I would've thought would've bought Dizzy some say so.
But again, does Dizzy deserve a 4th cut? Apparently IZZY didn't deserve it, so I doubt Dizzy would get it.
However... something tells me if Dizzy is on salary, Dizzy is BY FAR making the most of any of the other members. Possibly triple. I'm sure Dizzy is being taken care of nicely.
