Surprised to wake up and find Melissa Reese is in GNR.
She actually played on several multi-album projects with Brain and Buckethead, and some of the stuff was pretty damn great.
This song remains one of my favorite Bucket tunes.
The first was in 2010, Bucket's first since his back problems. It's also the best. Called Best Regards.

Pitman's Twitter still says he's in Guns. He's had a working relationship with Melissa on Beatrazr, maybe also in Guns (via the remixes). Why Melissa instead of Pitman is perhaps a lesser question than why Pitman gone? Melissa seems like someone who's able to stand in for Pitman without it being a fuss.
Is Melissa a result of powerplay between different camps or was Pitman just unavailable? The latter is unlikely. His Coachella tweet happened in mid-Jan, followed by the cash grab tweet in late Feb. He was warned to lay low the first time around. Chances are, the Scooby-Doo press policy got the better of him.
He referred to people who'd been there 'for the past 20 years'. He, himself, has 18 as of now. Fourteen for Fortus, a decade of Frank. Dizzy obviously qualifies above and beyond, but he's generally more familiar, being a UYI-era member. What's mind-boggling is that Pitman, having gone along for so long, decides he's significant enough to be name-dropped in the reunion, instead of just gearing up for a tour.
It does look like Pit's been reprimanded. If Melissa's still in Vegas, it's starting to look permanent.
Pitman also posted the Coachella poster in Beatrazr FB in Jan. It slipped through the censors, he merely removed it from the timeline without deleting it altogether 
Maybe those 17,000 likes got the better of him.

I really hope people don't start taking shots at her, if she tour with the band.
She worked with Pitman, Frank, Brain and Bucket and presumably Axl. So it's still from the same group of people. They're obviously still playing Chinese Democracy tracks.

Pitman's comments towards MYGNR fans was around 2 months ago. He was at the time the one who put together the videos hyping the shows just before. Shortly afterwards it was announced he was working on Tool's next album.
