8 teens charged in videotaped attack

Eight teenagers have been arrested on charges alleging they beat another teen in an "animalistic attack" so they could make a videotape to post on YouTube.
Seven of them remained in juvenile detention Tuesday, authorities said. A boy who was charged as an adult had been released on bail.
Victoria Lindsay was attacked on March 30 by six teenage girls when she arrived at a friend's home, authorities said.
One of the girls struck the 16-year-old victim on the head several times and then slammed her head into a wall, knocking her unconscious, according to an arrest report.
Later, according to a clip of the video that was released by the Polk County sheriff's office, the teens can be seen blocking a door and hitting Victoria.
"It's absolutely an animalistic attack," Sheriff Grady Judd said Tuesday on NBC's "Today." "They lured her into the home for express purpose of filming the attack and posting it on the Internet."
Victoria's father, Patrick Lindsay, said the teens intended to post the video on the video-sharing Web site YouTube.
Christina Garcia, mother of one of the defendants, said her daughter had turned the tape over to police.
The sheriff's office said that after the attack, three of the teens forced the victim into a vehicle and drove her to another location, where she was told she would be given a worse beating if she contacted police.
All eight suspects were arrested April 2 and charged with battery and false imprisonment. The three teens who took Lindsay to the second location are also charged with felony kidnapping.
Lindsay was treated for a concussion, damage to her left eye and left ear, and numerous bruises, police said.

I saw this video on Nancy Grace last night and there is nothing alleged, they beat the shit out of this poor girl. They knocked her out and after she came to, they beat her some more, the girl is blind in one eye and paritally deaf in one ear, her father said he couldn't even recognize her when he saw her she was so bruised up.
When the girls were in jail, they had the nerve to ask the police if they would miss cheerleading practice the next day. They don't even realize the severity yet. I hope they do today.
These girls need to be expelled from school and sent to jail for a couple years. I was sick watching this video. They need to remove all of these types of video's off youtube and myspace as these girls wanted to be posted on both.

Yeah that video was sickening, makes me scared to bring kids into this world, if I even have kids. I notice in the video the house that belonged to one of them girls looks like it's owned by wealthy parents that are probably the kind that are afraid to say no to their kids and spoil them to death. Did I hear something in that video about the girls being angry about her not accepting somebody to be her friend on her myspace? HAHAHA, so pathetic. . .

^^ That really is. I heard it was something to do with myspace, i didn't know it was that.
It really was disturbing, not a catfight but just sick, & punching and teaming up against 1 girl. Even though all 8 didn't jump her, if she fought back against 1 of them another could have jumped in. In 1 clip I heard a girl yell to her "Fight back, it's fair, it's 1 on 1. So fight". Just a disturbing outlook on it. Also they said most of the clips shown took place AFTER the girl had originally been fought & knocked out. Just sick.
DTJ I heard that about the girl not wanting to miss cheerleading practice. They should post their names even though they're minors so the rest of their lives if ever they are googled this story comes up.

^^ Agreed! Not only should they get a substantial amount of Jail time they should have to live with this for rest of their lives with all of the world to see exactly who they are. Also, the girl taping it said, "17 mins left, make it good" I'd like to be alone with this girl in a room.

I cant even imagine what was going through any of their heads. The worst shit my friends and I ever did was "wrestle" each other. I mean hell, I remember the one time I accidentally used to much force on a move and hurt this one kid... I felt like shit for a month over it.
Its not really the violence of it that disturbs me so much, its the total lack of conscience these girls demonstrated.

and the "entrapment".. The girl obviously tried to leave, just let her. But they lock her in and don't let her go.
