The world will never see anything like it again and before someone mentions Nirvana, while the grunge movement was huge obviously, not even a wart on the ass of what GNR did 87-88. The world had never seen anything like that before and it was in your face 24/7. Beatlemania, Elvis, and MJ in 82 are the only things up there with it. Everything else is below that category.

When kids in 6th-8th grade are talking about you during recess....you've made a monumental impact. Walk to the store to buy candy on the way home from school and you'll see a 50 year old guy wearing the AFD cross shirt. That's how wide the appeal was.

j/k, it's a great performance tho. They were badasss. Ashame they broke apart in the 90s, they really coulda lived thru grunge & produced some really great stuff by a bit of influence from AIC, NIN, SG & others.

Listening to Locomotive right now...this should be a no-brainer. Axl sings most of it in his normal register a la Chinese Democracy title track. With Slash back in fold and a dependable rythym man in Fortus it makes way too much sense.
