I think you guys are still missing the point completely. I haven't seen anyone say trump is the ideal candidate. He's necessary to get us where we need to be.

I realize the system is pretty much broken, but Trump is not even a stopgap answer. His policies and ideas just aren't feasible.

The saying is you have to hit rock bottom before you can go back up, but Trump would be the new low.

I don't believe what Trump SAYS, I believe what he DOES. Found these stories in about 30 seconds.

Well, of course he is. Not possible to survive without it. Our company is forced to buy from China, but if we could buy locally we would of course do it. That's where government comes in. If you want to keep jobs in the country, they have to step in and take measures to make that happen. There's no way a western worker can compete with a sweat shop.

How? Raise tariffs? That's Trump's plan. Does that make sense?

It's kind of hard to get your point though, you keep asserting things but rarely back them up with reasoning and arguments. Can you explain why Trump 'is necessary to get us where we need to be' and where exactly you think that is?

It does, but the unfortunate side effect will be that Americans should get ready to pay up to 50% more for their CE devices, clothes, etc...
Also, it'd set the US high tech industry back significantly if Europe doesn't follow suit: European companies would still manufacture in China, import to Europe and sell through to the US shifting the center of the high tech industry (back) to Europe.

The other day I bought the more expensive New Balance Shoes because they are MADE IN THE USA. the less expensive kind are made in China or Taiwan. I saw that and said, "Fuck this" and bought the 990's which are a superior shoe and about $150. I did my part to make America great again lol.

I guess it would if China wants to survive. America is a huge market for them, they are not going to tell them to just fuck off. I think you underestimate how powerful the USA really is.

My country has many steep tariffs, and in return we have small farmers, shop clerks, blue collar workers etc. making a good living wage. I assume most Americans wouldn't be against that.

If America collapsed the world as we know it would be over. We are the most powerful economy in the history of the planet. Too often we negotiate from a position of weakness. If we just play ball as dirty as China does that would really help us. We have private companies having to compete against a government back Chinese system where they rig everything to their favor.

We, in America, need to get rid of unions and lower taxes to get the jobs back. The Unions are very guilty in running many jobs off.

I've said it several times in this thread alone. Read up.

Ask Perot how the straight businessman approach works.  It had to be someone pulling a Trump.  I said that numerous pages ago.  Nice doesn't bring change.  Nice doesn't get people fired up.  It had to be this way; there was no other way to get to where the establishment was in trouble.

Page 71.  You don't even have to go back too far to see the latest mention.

Remember this from Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch when the GOP goes all in against Obama's Supreme Court pick of Merrick Garland.

"Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), the longest serving Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, offered his own thoughts on who President Obama should nominate to fill the seat left open by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia last week. “[Obama] could easily name Merrick Garland, who is a fine man,” Hatch told the conservative news site Newsmax, before adding that “he probably won’t do that because this appointment is about the election. So I’m pretty sure he’ll name someone the [liberal Democratic base] wants.”

He's a moderate.  http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2016/0 … k-garland/
