He has massive crowds showing up at airports when he lands, at rallies, leads in the polls, so unless people drive to airports and rallies to watch someone they hate or are voting for someone they hate, I think the media might be overstating the case.
According to the NY Times, Hillary could possibly lose NY to Trump and she has a "net negative" in certain regions.
This is a state that she basically needs in the bag yet will probably have to spend time(and money) in states that would be better spent in other areas.

Admission into the fundraiser started at $1,000 and if attendees wanted to get a picture with the presidential candidate, the price was $2,700.

I certainly agree its fascinating and you bring up a great point on voter turnout. Trump needs the 'common man' and "silent majority". If this election does indeed wind up being a low turnout, he could definitely be in trouble. It would impact both candidates though but more so for Trump.

I certainly hope you wouldn't vote for a pedophile! That was half jest, but realize there are people who will vote for him no matter what. I think it's hilarious, Perot actually had a real plan that he laid out with pie charts, and specifics, the total opposite of what Trump is doing.

Perot was ahead of his time. In 1992 the country wasn't ready for someone other than a career politician to run the country. Like I said, we're ready now.
The election isn't over yet. You don't know what approach he will take once the primaries are over.
Funny you harp on Trump as a racist and rave on Perot when Perot had identical accusations thrown his way. In a roomful of black people he kept saying "You people". I saw it on live TV and it was a bit of a controversy until it finally went away. But I guess since he had a "real plan" we'll give him a free pass.

Trump reveals health care plan
Completely repeal Obamacare.
Modify existing law that inhibits the sale of health insurance across state lines.
Allow individuals to fully deduct health insurance premium payments from their tax returns under the current tax system.
Allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Contributions into HSAs should be tax-free and should be allowed to accumulate.
Require price transparency from all healthcare providers, especially doctors and healthcare organizations like clinics and hospitals.
Block-grant Medicaid to the states. Nearly every state already offers benefits beyond what is required in the current Medicaid structure.
Remove barriers to entry into free markets for drug providers that offer safe, reliable and cheaper products.

You guys seem like level-headed people, and I certainly don't think anyone here is a racist (at least I hope not), but what goes on at Trump rallies is really disturbing. He ENCOURAGES the masses to take action against people who do not see things his way, not just blacks or Muslims or immigrants, ANYONE.
I could flood this thread with videos and stories of people being "roughed up" at Trump rallies, and that's a term he himself used.
If you support Trump's policies and ideas, great. No shame in that. But his policies and ideas go hand-in-hand with the hate-mongering that is going on.
There are protesters at Bernie rallies and Hillary rallies and especially Cruz rallies (he actually might be worse than Trump), but the same things don't happen to them at those rallies. They get escorted out basically with no issues. They don't get shoved around, they don't get punched or choke-slammed. They just leave. Cruz has even debated protesters on stage. He doesn't tell his supporters to "rough them up."
There's a reason Trump didn't say on CNN "white supremacy is disgusting and those people are disgusting, I don't want to be associated with them." Because, that's a huge part of his support. Without them, he loses a block of his voters.
Trump and many of his supporters scare me, literally. He wants to throw out immigrants, encourages violence against people who disagree with him, hell he even wants to go after my profession, journalism (that's what North Korea does). I'm seriously afraid of what would happen if he's president.
Tell me why I shouldn't be? And that's a serious question. Tell me how I can overlook all the hate just to accept someone who's not a politician, who is not establishment.

You think we're not divided now? The great Obama has done more to divide this country than any president that I can remember. Trump exists politically as a response to what's going on now.
I'm not a trump supporter btw. But I b do understand why we're where we are at. People are finally getting fed up. This is a good thing. I wish it had a better face right now, but regardless I'm glad someone is shaking things up.
