And GNR never did.

They got hosed and the album broke at a weird time...

No doubt there. The impact is even felt to this very day. Some fans still think they were nothing until SCOM exploded. 16

Even worse situation is NIN with PHM. It was released in 89, no one paid attention until 91. Trent got DAMN lucky with that. He might want to send some of those royalties Axl's way as well.  Going back even further, this happened with Gary Numan. Many consider Cars one of THE greatest one hit wonders(some would consider it blasphemy to refer to him as such) and the song always makes it high on those 80s lists yet the album was actually released in 1979.

Great rundown of the situation monkey...

3. No one knows what the fuck Izzy will do, even Izzy, so we'll book him to come for a few shows, but we won't advertise it as anything other than Slash/Duff/Axl so that no one can complain.

I wish it didn't have to be like this. Izzy isn't a "must have" unfortunately but it would be so much more special for hardcore fans if he was a part of it on their level. I'm not talking guest appearances...obviously he'll do that. I mean his name up there on the marquee with the rest of them.

6. Someone call Richard and Frank and keep around. Just incase we never decide anything about Izzy, Matt and Steven.

When this first happened, I wondered if those two would just be kept on salary in a holding pattern while the situation develops.

8. Ok..so we have a lost GNR album around, CD2 sitting around, hundreds of hours of awesome proshot footage and multiple completed docs in the can, we've reassembled one of the greatest rock bands ever, and it's the 30th anniversary of our greatest record. Should we do something? Hmm...think about that later too.

Like with the Soundgarden reunion, THIS is where my interest is. There's just SOOOO much there for them to unload. IMO they get a free pass for 2016 on an actual album but we'll know by the end of the year how they are doing this. If we get no releases like a new GH, single/song on a soundtrack, etc. by the end of the year, its basically a repeat of 09-14 but a bigger payday.
