I certainly don't think they have to announce everything before hitting the stage in Vegas. Just trickle out tidbits of info on the road to Vegas. Maybe even post a clip of rehearsals or let the set list "leak" out. There are many different things that can be done between now and April.
As I've said before, the world lives and dies by what's trending.
The fact that the shows are sold out is beside the point. Of course they sold out. Scalpers bought most of them in an hour. Sold out shows isn't a reason to stay silent until they walk out onstage. Many people are happy this reunion is happening. Let it keep going in that direction.

I wish ta fuck that Axl would rehearse though, he needs to exercise that throat... if he dials this in I'm going to give up on him completely. If he won't rise back up for this run then its over for me.
It does sort of hang on that.
If they come out and do something interesting with the setlist, and Axl has his throat back in shape, is doing rasp, and nailing it like we've seen him do even in his older years then I think these shows will be absolutely phenomenal.
On the other hand I could also imagine it devolving into something like Rio4 where it's painful to watch and even Axl seems to hate how it's going.
Obviously they're not going to be 28 again. But they still have moments. Axl did some great stuff in Osaka in 2009, Slash was amazing in sydney in 2012.....they could yet do something awesome if they put their minds to it.
But there's something odd and team brazilish about the way this is going down.
Makes you wonder if Slash just lost so much money on his divorce that he's agreed to play along even without the sort of changes we all wanted to see.
Recording is the elephant. At the end of the day it's what matters for history but what doesn't pay them much. Time will tell.

I think they will do all that and more.
I'd expect duff to shoot behind the scenes vids for twitter or youtube.
There is no way in hell Axl would get on the same stage as Slash unless the hatchet was buried.
I think we're gonna see something special here.
I'd expect Axl to be 100% on and Slash and Duff too.
After Axl played with Duff last time he said that he felt he had to raise his game to match Duff during the performance.
He couldn't let himself be outplayed by this guy who he used to be and really should still be on par with.
Throw Slash into that mix, a guitarist who is at his most powerful right now, and you've got a recipe for some incendiary performances.
Axl is so on fire here and so is Duff and they both love it:
Expect that.
I don't think we're going to be let down here.
I think a lot of the problem all these years for each of these guys solo is that the sum is truly greater than the parts.
Together they are a different beast.
And lets not forget this gem:
A simple remix that puts slash duff and axl on the same song manages to be better than either of the originals.
I have high hopes for this coming tour.
But I don't for a second think that they are too high.
I saw Axl about 3 years ago with the old nu-GNR.
He and they were excellent.
I saw Slash with Myles. He was excellent.
I saw Duff with walking papers. He was perfect.
These guys on the same stae playing together again??
Forgedaboutit.
Cannot fucking wait.

I was also blown away by If the World/Slither and it does show the potential they have of turning a great song into a hit song. EVader has some mixes that shows on some songs it might be more difficult(Silkworms, CD). If they are going to use select Chinese leftovers I hope they are very good at cherry picking.

Yep.....what I call the Scooby Doo mystery act. I can handle their involvement as long as they know they need to bring in someone else to negotiate certain things. TB has got a LOT of shit over the years but IMO they've handled some of this reunion stuff fairly well. Those tweets that we all whined about were much better in hindsight as it went along perfectly with that teaser trailer that was unleashed. They also told fans 2-4 months and they'd announce something. They were true to their word.
In all fairness to them....the Scooby Doo mystery act was well underway by the time TB took the reigns. Merck perfected it.
Fans aren't spewing venom at them like yesteryear and I hope they see that and are willing to continue doing things the right way and not turn this into the epilogue of the CD saga.
