Yeah, I thought this too. David dated Slash's mother for some time, so he was Slash's step-dad for a while.

Tough few months for him.

When Scott died, I thought, that could've been Slash. As a fan, I'm very glad he got clean. I'm sure he is too, as is Axl. Even though Axl said it didn't matter if one of them died before making amends, I'm sure he's glad that wasn't the case. It would have been sad.

I was watching his speech at Lemmy's funeral and thinking, in all of the Axl vs Slash arguments, people forget they're just people. Slash was so cut up. People forget he and Axl are just two guys, who ultimately care for one another, but have a complicated deep relationship. They're not two sports teams vying for the title, which is how fans can treat them.

I reckon they're both glad they've reconciled.
