I am a Guns N' Roses fan, but why couldn't I grown up with Bowie instead? I'm literally jealous of those who did.
Dude you've completely missed the mark... YOU HAVE GUNS N' ROSES BECAUSE OF BOWIE!!!
David Bowie influenced every fucking guy in GN'R, especially Axl & Slash & Dizzy, all three are HUGE Bowie marks, and have covered him in GN'R.
I would go so far to say GN'R wouldn't exist without Bowie's influence, and I say that as a guy who wasn't a huge Bowie guy. But even I see the building blocks.

I got into Bowie through NIN. I was planning to make some Finck/Bowie art for my blog in the next coming weeks. I suppose I should do it now instead.
