The music does the talking. The whole world from babies to great grandmas know what that teaser represents. I think its perfect to symbolize the coming storm.

Yeah, but people are still likely to think this is just another release from "Axl's band" no? I would think the best way to create hype was to let people know exactly what is happening. Is the reunion rumors really that well known outside of music oriented sites? Only thing I saw in the main stream papers over here was an article about Axl and Slash no longer being enemies.

they know it's a reunion.
Its also the greatest GNR promotion since UYI was released. That fact might clue them in as well.

One thing's for sure. Putting that thing in front of the new Star Wars cost money. Big time.
Given the elusive nature of it all and - as James said - an emphasis on the US market, it needs a payoff real quick.
A Coachella confirmation in a week or so would be a logical way to proceed.

Slash makes movies now... I am sure he got that on the star wars trailers for next to nothing...lol
