Madagascar is one of my favorite tracks in the entire discography regardless of Axl's choice to sing it that way. Street of Dreams is the same, doesn't matter if they could have been better, they're both great to me.
I have no issue with the movie quotes either.

Madagascar is one of my all time GN'R favorites as well. I still remember the huge impression it had left on me when I first heard it at the VMAs live on TV (yes, that flawed performance). I don't have any issues with the album version either. For those who don't like the quotes, there is a version out there where they are removed..

I'm surprised that Chinese democracy has no votes thus far... the main rhythm guitar for that song prolly has the worst guitar tone on the album...it bothers me tbh
Regarding madagascar, The composition of the quotes in relation to the other lyrics make the song imho...the guitar "solo" seems pretty straight forward to me...I dont see the need to showcase it...regardless Madagascar may be my #1 on the album
