Catcher in The Rye. The demo is great and a reflection of an album we never got.
The album version on the other hand is a mess with Ron's messy playing being pasted over it. It's an absolute butchering and I'm not talking about the guitar solo.
It's absolutely shocking that anyone thought it was a good idea.
Glad to see OMG is still in the elimination.

I really want the title track from that era. It never sounded better than it did at HOB.
I'm voting CITR until it's gone. That song is an abortion and atari is right....all those involved should be ashamed and/or embarrassed for letting that version out of the vault. I find it hard to believe Axl heard that and liked it.
Love the demo but I wish it had never leaked. That's the only reason it's on the album. Ron said years ago Atlas Shrugged was in contention for CD but there wasn't room.

Aye, how cool could had it been had CITR existed only as a fabled Brian May demo, and Atlas gotten released.
Well, if the May Atlas would've been a bonus track.
We need a new bleedin' GH - but with the deep vault cuts of Beavan mixes.

Citr is one of the album highlights imo
Same here. The leaked version is still superior; but the album version isn't that bad when I listen to it.
