OLDBOY (2013) Trailer - NSFW

I think it looks pretty cool. Oldboy is one of my favorite films, but I really don't get all hot and bothered over remakes. I have my classic already, nothing will touch it, but hopefully this is good.

I really wish we could have seen Heath Ledger do this, though.

I seen this last week on Sky.

I thought it was just okay and Brolin/Olsen (who's extremely attractive) generally give good performances in other films. However it was just a typical Hollywood less well executed remake of the original. Nothing changed, there wasn't a different twist and the famous action scene was rather tame compared to the original. I didn't like the antagonist's performance/backstory and Spike Lee didn't really seem to have a vision.

If you've never seen the original, I'd recommenced it over this.

Yeah, I hear it was butchered by the production company in post, where they edited it down by almost 45 minutes and used takes Spike didn't approve, so he disowned the film. I'd like to see his real version.
