Obviously, there have been a lot of historic GNR interviews and articles over the years, so I'm planning on posting some of them here. First off, here's the May 11, 200 "Axl Rose - The Lost Years" article, which as I re-read it I've realized is the source for a lot of things that we've learned about Axl in his post-Illusion days.

Yeah I remember these. Great stuff, and yes the foreshadowing was all over it. You could already tell they all, but especially Axl & Slash were on different pages on what the future was going to be. They were already becoming broken, and distant. The whole thing went from staving and nobodies, to future Hall of Fame legends within a matter of a year, and then suddenly like a bomb going off they were all left looking around at each other after getting satiation, and going "I don't really like you or need you now".

In the end, I still look back in amazement knowing what we know now that we ever got the Use Your Illusion albums and a tour. Anything and everything went off to prevent that from coming to fruition. And then people talk about a reunion like it's a slam dunk, and I scoff and laugh.

Fuck a reunion, i'm amazed that all of them are even still alive and breathing, let alone performing... anything.
