Re: Slash & The Conspirators new album WORLD ON FIRE due 15 September 2014
Was also thinking, should we have a separate Slash tour discussion thread?
Great idea! Tour has just started and we will have a lot of things to discuss
Faldor, of course Myles will never be an icon like Axl, but I looove the way he sings-even GNR, VR songs and his creation without Slash, I mean Mayfield Four and Alter Bridge.
I think he fits to GNR and VR climate and I see (and hear ) chemistry, respect and energy between Slash, Myles & The Conspirators. For me it's better situation than new GNR, because they make something new, and it's good. Axl made something unbelievable, but I have a feeling that he doesn't develop. Which doesn't change the fact he is in music history FOREVER.
Summing-I love both, Myles and Axl

Faldor, I am only talking about this one song.. This is the worst song every set for Axl to sing. I am talking SINGING... Yes, I still love to see Axl try to sing this song for all the other reasons I listed, but pure singing, Myles on YCBM is superior to Axl and also he is that way on Sweet Child O'Mine.
I get that, but I'd still take an imperfect Axl over Myles on those 2 songs. To me he doesn't sound THAT bad that I wish Myles was singing instead.

Myles doesn't have the rasp and venom that Axl does when singing YCBM, but Myles seems to have greater control of his voice in that range, much more than Axl singing it these days.

Slash should play Give in to me! Such an amazing song, epic Slash performance, Myles' voice would fit the song and it would be an intriguing addition to the set. I'd love to hear it, for sure!
