Re: Slash's Bent to Fly
Awesome song, in the vein of Cali. Much, much better than the title track.
All thanks to Gibbo, who taped and uploaded it!

Re: Slash's Bent to Fly
I really like it. Back from Cali is a bluesy song. I don't get that vibe here. And I don't get the Starlight vibe. This sounds original for this band. Nice tune!!

Re: Slash's Bent to Fly
Ohh wow. Now we're talking. Oh yes. That is a VERY VERY Myles Kennedy song. Reminds me of Myle's AB work.
This is exactly what I wanted from Myles and Slash.
GREAT!!
This to me is GNR level good.
I didn't like Apocalyptic Love that much. some nice songs but not GNR level good.
This album just might be.
I'm going to buy this album.
I haven't bought a physical copy of a Slash album since Libertad.

Re: Slash's Bent to Fly
Yeah, to me it sounds like a mix between Alter Bridge's Rise Today, Back From Cali, and a hint of Beggars in there as well.
I really dig it, and once the chorus and melody get into your head, it's hard to get it out of there.
I've listened like ten times now, and it just gets better with each listen.
Very pleased with this, it's great for rock radio, without being too obvious as a made-for-radio tune.

This is BETTER.
Not cleaving my world yet in two but that chorus was stuck in my head after one listen.
Really looking forward to going running with this album in my ears and letting it sink in.

Re: Slash's Bent to Fly
Some Alice in Chains feel is here as well. I really dig this song, great riff, great vocals, great work by the rhythm section (Todd's playing is Duff-like melodic in places), great atmosphere, but the solo could have been more worked-out. It's still good though.
