Re: Sebastian Bach: New album update
Sebastian Bach is in the studio working on a new album with producer Bob Marlette, and has posted an update on the project.
"Well, I am happy to say we have spent the last two days in studio and we know exactly what to do with this new record,” writes Bach. “It is going to be balls-out, kick-ass rock 'n' roll with tons of vocal histrionics and harmonies especially. That is what I am hearing so far on this record.”
"I am going to really concentrate on harmonies and pushing my voice to the maximum you have ever heard it pushed,” he continued. “The riffs are crazy and cool and we have 13 or so songs so we are right on track and we know exactly what to do to kick your ass into 2014!”
"We are into it! And get ready for new Bach rock coming your way soon! Thanks to Devin Bronson and Bob Marlette who are really making it happen!"
The new project is the follow-up to 2011’s “Kicking & Screaming.”

Glad to hear about the progress for this album. Definitely going to give the new songs a listen when some of them come out.

Re: Sebastian Bach: New album update
Nick was fired in 2012 after contractual disputes about sync licensing for live performance videos and some personal disagreements on tour.
I think the theory of getting nick was sound - Baz's vocals are killer, and with a strong guitar soloist in the band the overall quality of songs would lift. I guess he needs his Slash to his Axl or his Joe Perry to his Steven Tyler or his Zakk to his Ozzy or whatever. Some of his solo stuff previously was limited by the instrumentals not being as strong as the vocals.
That said, I wouldn't say he sucks, but I also agree that Nick wasn't "the guy" in the end...he's obviously skilled at guitar but I'm just not sure he had the right chemistry with Baz.
I'm really looking forward to a new album though, I really like Baz's solo catalogue a lot.

I like his solo stuff for the most part. I'm a casual fan of both Skid Row and his solo works. I do hope he finds the right guy to match his talent. Yes..he needs that signature player to give that chemistry off. Not just a session or touring guy. Someone who wants to commit to the band, work off of Baz, and make both of them stronger for it.

(Prog) Arcane Roots will return to the UK in November for their biggest-ever headline tour to date, which is set to feature support from Empire and Verses.
It's interspersed with their own opening slots under Coheed And Cambria. And they've released a video for their track Belief, which is to be launched as a single on September 2.
The band released debut album Blood And Chemistry in May and are currently gearing up for a series of European shows which precede their UK activity. Check out the video and the tour dates here: http://www.progrockmag.com/news/arcane- … tour-duty/
