Lady Gaga Hints At New Music
(Radio.com) Lady Gaga has been very silent this year. But it looks like that's about to change. Last week, she released a photo of herself back in the studio, and from the looks of things, it appears that Mother Monster is ready to get back to work after her unplanned leave of absence.
In February, Gaga postponed several tour dates citing health issues before she went on to cancel her Born This Way Ball Tour. "After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour so she can heal," a press statement from Live Nation said at the time.
Diagnosed with synovitis, which is severe inflammation of the joints, Gaga went into the hospital for hip surgery and followed her doctor's orders to rest. She even splurged on a 24-Karat gold wheelchair, custom-made by New York-based stylist Ken Borochov, to keep off her feet.
While fans have been eagerly waiting for updates from her social networking site LittleMonsters.com, new music from the singer is likely on the way, as are surprise performances.

I hope she makes a safe recovery and wish her success with new recordings. Even though her last album had alot of subpar songs. Even my friends who are big fans of her music and live performances were underwhelmed with Born This Way. I liked the Edge of Glory and a few other tracks; but hopefully she goes back to a Fame/Fame Monster style and I know she could pull off a rocker if she tried. She has the chops and talent to. It sucks that the tour had to be canceled since I know those tickets ain't cheap and fans probably had to plan out months in advance to get to one of the shows; but one's health is important.

I personally think she really needs to take her time and trim the number of cuts on the album.
Her last album was a bit of a bloated follow-up. Counting her bonus songs, it was a 17-song album, her limited-release bonus songs were better than some of her singles, and I personally think she's a better musician than her last release (she crushes contemporaries like Katy Perry & Taylor Swift).
I'm hoping she trims the fat, keeps it simple, and just drops like an 11-track album with no bonus tunes, and all the tunes are single-ready.
