I heard on the radio that gnr is coming to buffalo. Some kind of summer festival tour or something...how'd the Aussie leg of the tour go? Did our Down Under members get good shows?
What's the crap about tigers lol? And beta getting beaten?? Lol
Yeah, the show was great!
I went down to see them in Melbourne and caught up with monkeychow too.
Here we are front row at the show. Chow is the bearded one, and I'm with the hat!
Also got to meet Ron, DJ and Dizzy in the meet n greet before the show as well.

YEah it was an amazing tour down under.
Bumble did a clinic type appearance in a local music store...and he basically stayed around a whole afternoon...posing with fans...chatting...and of course playing stuff! His only request was that we had to sing Axl's parts...so people walking into the store to pick up drum sticks or whatever are confronted by a bunch of GNR fans and guitar peeps busting out the chorus to catcher in the rye while bumble slams out all the guitar parts....pretty classic....
He let me play the double neck fretless...and let me tell you that thing is a heavy beast of a weapon....but sounds killer...although lets just say when you start playing fretless you appriciate bumbles control of it on stuff like shacklers...it's just bizzare!
As ever with bumble he's just one of those people that's fun to be around, he makes a lot of jokes, always seems to have a ton of energy and for a man with truely frightening skills on guitar and a kickass musical job he's absurdly humble.
He personally busted out two of my favourite of his solo track solos for me at my request - that freakish outro to 'turn around' and also the whole of guitars-suck....seriously it was a great afternoon for guitar guys...anyone into tar and gets a shot to go to something like that in your area I'd totally do it!

Oh also...while I'm talking about the aussie tour...as Metalalex said we caught up....got front row at the gig...and DJ recognised us from the meet and greet before hand and actually passed us a bottle of jagermister from the stage to drink!
Being absurdly close to the band, and the way Dizzy, DJ and Bumble were so friendly to us....was just a great night out.

CD2 is slated for a 2014 release according to Fortus
I think he said, MAYBE in 2014. Although all plans related to GNR should be prefaced with a MAYBE, so I guess it goes without saying.

Bumble is such a fuckin class act! I remember when he first joined GN'R we were sending Myspace messages back and forth and I just couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that he was taking the time to do that!

tragically its true...would be cool to have it come out sometime in the next couple years tho!
@ monkey and metallex, that looks lke you guys had a great time! monkey i cant beleive you got to hold and play the dbl neck! thats fukcing cool as hell...i tried to play a fretless bass before it was nonsense lol. MEtallex ive met a couple of them too in 2010 i think, was neat just to speak with them for a few minutes 
and getting jager shots from the band while they are on stage...thats fun
were there any setlist changes or additions?

Pretty normal stuff from memory...band played 2 nights in melbourne...standard minor changes between shows but essentially shortened version of up close and personal tour.....metalalex asked + got DJ to play Ballad of Death one night which was cool.
Shows were both notable for axl hitting stage by 8pm
Random other slightly abnormal things - happy birthday to vanessa one night, and jarmo getting a happy birthday and being added to the band-lin-up-bow at the end because it was his birthday. Axl brought some kind of stripper out on stage on the first night too...don't know why but the guys in the crowed loved it
