I know I'm commenting on this 218 weeks too late, but that list sucks. A couple things:
A. "Pop metal" is one of the most annoying terms in existance. When I think "pop metal" I think Linkin Park, not Skid Row.
B. "Hair metal" is not a genre of music. They are thinking of hair band, which is an umbrella term used to describe the image of some bands. The genre they are thinking of is glam metal.
C. Guns N' Roses is a hair band, but not glam metal. They are completely hard rock/heavy metal with elements of punk.
D. Extreme is normally called funk metal and Tesla is hr/hm. Same with Skid Row. How in the hell did the Cult make it?
E. What makes a hair band according to these morons? Having long hair? In that case, where's Reign in Blood? Actually, given their knowledge of music, these hacks would probably call that Satanic death metal.
