Re: Megadeth's Super Collider New Album

New Megadeth album to be released in June. I may give it a listen. I enjoyed most of Thirteen despite Dave acting like a douche. Still think the album title could be better same with this new record. They were able to record this at a brisk pace which I got to respect their determination and work ethic. Hope it has some good head bang'n tunes on it!

By the way is there a Megadeth thread already on this forum? I know there is a Metallica one.

I am seriously pumped for this album.

End Game was a solid return to form, and there was some truly awesome guitar going on in Th1rt3en.

I really like Brodderick.....he's the first of the post-marty guitarists to really compliment Dave's playing and bring back that juxtaposition between the "beautiful melodic solo" and the "angry intense solo" that they used to do so well. Plus some of his shit is just out right frightening to listen to....lightyears ahead of what your average guitarist can pull off.

I've really got into megadeth in the past few years, inspirational guitar parts and a rewarding band to follow (new albums, shows, interact with fans etc).

As for a thread....there's been many little ones started but I don't think there's a catch all thread.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Endgame was pretty good, but got old fast. Thirteen was pretty shitty though, especially how he recycled those fuckin songs from like 20 years ago. Wtf was up with that? Broderick is definitely good, but he hasn't written a "memorable" solo.

Thirteen has some great songs despite the songs being re-produced and already written for years. I love Public Enemy #1, Black Swan, and a few others.

You can play a memory game here: http://megadethgame.com/ - that when you win shows you the new album cover...it also plays about 20 seconds of a new song although no solos or anything fun so you can't make much of it....

Really excited for this record though.

Full cover and article on the eventual release. I will most definitely listen to it if they can stream it online and get it sometime soon after the release once I purchase more storage spaces to place the music and other media in my room. The Cyber Army membership deals aren't half bad and you get a free, signed copy of the album. Interesting. They are getting shit done in terms of music and amount of upcoming shows that's for sure.

Re: Megadeth's Super Collider New Album

title track was released on their youtube page. Pretty meh. Where's the intensity and shredding that's signature Megadeth? hmm Hopefully the rest of the album is better. Rather disappointing start to get fans hyped.
