I just can't believe anybody would take this serious...and Rush has some huge songs...70's early 80's have some classics. My first concert in 1982.
Agreed. I'm hoping to catch them in May since they are playing not too far from my house. Must of been quite a show.

At least the others are rightful classic acts to be up against though.
Rush shouldn't be in the top 10.

Yep. Couldn't say it better myself. It reminds me of all those little girls voting for the Backstreet Boys over N'Sync on TRL all those many moons ago. It's kind of embarrassing.
Whats embarassing is how the results of this meaningless poll are actually pissing you guys off. You're taking it way too seriously.

How is it pissing me off? I'm not pissed. I'm actually pretty calm. I think the polls are pretty meaningless, myself. It's the reactions to them I'm commenting on. And the reactions to mine and Buzz's reactions seem to be taking things too seriously.

With all that being said, it appears Rush fans are way more crazy than GNR fans. They're winning by a healthy margin right now after GNR jumped out to an early lead.
They've crushed everyone they've gone against. Crazy fanbase with severe inferiority complex.

On a positive note. Amazon is offering a free download of Sweet Child. (Even though most of us already own the track.) Nice gesture I suppose. Rather late. New song please would even more appreciated.

Damn, GN'R are actually losing to a band that I'd honestly never heard any of their music ever played until yesterday. Have Rush ever been played on the radio outside of the US?
And even after hearing some of it posted here, I still think WTF 
We've been having interesting discussion here with these "Gn'R vs..." threads, and I'll admit all the other bands have been really great, but Rush is absolutely shithouse. Those vocals are ridiculous...
