Rightio, so the band let the promoter sell the tour as something it actually wasn't... WTF????
Haha, yes I do remember that discussion, and it was a good example of semantics!
I mean sure, Axl may not have personally named the tour, but playing the shows, with no comment or complaint about the name was tacit acceptance.
Imagine the promoter had named the tour "The Axl Sucks Tour" or something.....you can bet Axl would have either thrown a fit if he was offended and not played the show or laughed along with it on stage if he thought it was funny.
So even if the band didn't name that tour, you can presume from the fact that it went off without any complaints that they didn't object too violently to the name.
