Re: 25 Most Anticipated movies of 2013

This is the End, Elysium (even though I haven't seen the trailer) I adored District 9 and own it on DVD. Got it for five bucks at a Safeway. Oblivion, and wish the best for how The Wolverine turns out. Looking more forward to Days of Future Past.

THE WORLD'S END...OH MY GOD!!! (still waiting on the trailer)

Iron Man 3 looks like a ton of fun and hopefully put things back into perspective from the overload of the second one. I did enjoy both films. First one was epic and a real step in moving forward in the super hero & sci fi genre. RDJ is Tony Stark!

Thor 2, Ender's Game, and Kick Ass 2 sounds like a blast.

Saw the trailer for Pacific Rim. Looks very cool and interesting. Even though it's based off a ton of Asian monster film concepts.

Hoping for the best with The Lone Ranger. Saw the new trailer when I saw The Hobbit earlier. Just pissed that Jack White won't do the final film score as promised earlier

MAN OF STEEL IS GOING TO BE AMAZING! Trailer astounding...expect nothing but the best from this development team.

The trailers for Star Trek: Into Darkness have been mind blowing and looks to top the last film in many ways. Tons of excitement for that.

As for Catching Fire, hoping they try some new elements to improve upon the last Hunger Games film. Jennifer Lawrence will always be a treasured talent and beautiful person.

2013 WILL HAVE SOME GOOD TIMES AT THE MOVIES TO BE HAD! big_smile

Shouldn't this be in the Hollywood forum instead of the Black Hole forum?

Anchorman 2 is the one must see on there for me.  Hopefully they do it justice and it doesn't ruin the original for me, as silly as that sounds.  Just caught it on HBO the other night.  Still cracks me up.

You're not too far off. VERY few of them I have any interest with, and it's further proof why in the present day I watch more television than I do movies, because the better entertainment and ideas are just on TV right now and have been for several years now. When I do watch movies, usually I watch older ones.

Prime example, the family this holiday season just wrapped up with watching the Back To The Future Trilogy on Bluray. There just was no interest in anything new despite the fact we discussed and sifted through lots of newer stuff, and ultimately it came down to that and everyone was left more satisfied than they would've if we would've just "taste tested" a bunch of new stuff.

As for 2013...

There's a few of them i'm interested in. Pacific Rim sounds good. I'm not a big Superman guy, but Man of Steel sounds good. Lone Ranger is the X-factor in the bunch. Iron Man 3 will probably be samey. I think the second one was overrated.

Other than that, the rest can go in the trash.

i love when they say "there is no film we are more excited to see than 'Gravity' at this point" but go on tolist another 5 films they're more excited to see.

tbh i fucking hated Children of Men, i can't stand Sandra Bullock & this film sounds like p much every space-based sci-fi film of the past 20 yrs.. but still am kinda looking forward to it!

there's a few on that list i'm interested but yea i subscribe to the same old complaints about the same old hollywood shite: too many sequels, too much super hero shite. some of them just sound monumentally boring tho: another clooney film based on some obscure weird real life thing? he'll probably draw it out for 5 boring hours..
